WHO IS JULIE HEWETT ?

“I had intended to be a fashion designer (the modern version of Coco Chanel or Norma Kamali) at Parsons in NYC. Since I failed patternmaking and sewing, I drew faces during fashion and sewing class. I also inherited a passion for old Hollywood glamour from my Dad, so when I ended up doing famous faces I know I had landed in the right place.”

The idea for her own make-up line was born on the set of ‘Pearl Harbor’ when she noticed a distinct lack of true ‘beauty classics’. She was determined not to make up every actress with the same red lipstick, so she started swatching different colors to create bespoke shades and textures to flatter the individuality of each woman. Her goal was to translate the durability and wearability of these high-performance professional products for the consumer and create the perfect ‘red lipstick for every woman’

While running her beauty company, Julie Hewett continues to work on some of the most high profile projects in Hollywood. Recently, She has been working with beauty icons like Julia Roberts, Annette Bening, Jenifer Garner, Nicole Kidman, Christina Hendricks, Salma Hayek, Debra Messing and Mae Whitman to name a few. Julie has launched her “Secret Weapon” product: Organic Camellia Oil, a beauty oil that she swears will transform your skin and has been formulated into her signature line of lipsticks. Following her secret weapon Camellia, she has since launched her line of refreshing spray toners and hydrating citrus sanitizer.
